A Philatelic Christmas

Stampex Bug wishes you a Merry Christmas!

T’was the season of cheer, both merry and bright,

When stamp dealers’ treasures took flight into night.

Through catalogues and listings, collectors all yearned,

For rare philatelic wonders their hearts had discerned.

The shop doors were open, their windows aglow,

With albums and covers all placed in a row.

“Browse at your leisure!” the dealers would say,

For Christmas had brought them more shoppers each day.

Online auctions hummed with a spirited pace,

Bidders clicked swiftly in a digital race.

From Penny Blacks bold to engraved wonders fine,

Each piece told a story of a place or a time.

And dealers at their desks worked under the tree,

Fulfilling orders with hearts full of glee.

Shipping out treasures, both far and near,

They smiled knowing joy would soon appear.

Collectors, meanwhile, sat with mugs full of cheer,

Flipping through catalogues brimming with gear.

"A different perforation?" "A watermark so rare?"

Each find brought delight, beyond compare.

For in this great season, philatelists thrived,

A shared love of stamps that kept spirits alive.

May your auctions be lively, and sales hit the mail.

Merry Christmas to all, to each stamp and each tale.
