1896
Foundation of The Maison Roumet.
At age 19, Octave Roumet begins his career as a stamp dealer, working from his small attic room in Paris.
1910
The first boutique opens on Boulevard des Italiens in Paris. Maison Roumet later establishes itself at Passage des Princes (1913), Rue Saint-Lazare (1921), before settling permanently on Rue Drouot.
1927
Octave Roumet, Expert to the Court of Appeal, creates the first Mail Auction, a major innovation quickly embraced by French stamp dealers.
1929
The boutique opened at 17 Rue Drouot, a charming setting that became a key location and the main gathering place for stamp dealers and experts, still housing the fourth generation today.
1953
Philippe Roumet, Expert registered with the Court of Appeal and certified by the Court of Cassation, takes over the management of Maison Roumet following the passing of his father, Octave Roumet.
1975
Alexandre Roumet joins his father Philippe and becomes President of Maison Roumet. In 1992, he is appointed Expert to the Court of Appeal.
2006
Foundation of Roumet Histoire Postale.
Christian Pagnoux, Alexandre Roumet, and Benoît Scheiff join forces to combine their expertise in philately, postal history, and autographs.
2023
Géraldine and Gwenaël Roumet take over the management of Maison Roumet following the passing of their father, Alexandre Roumet.
2024
Roumet join the PTS and we meet Gwenaël at Monacophil!
2025
